Tormented Soul

It is a hot day. It is a torrid day with not a cloud in sight to ease the heat. It seems as though all is fine when the sky is blue - but it is what's on the inside that counts.

This seems to be the story behind "Tormented Soul" - this spectacularly monumental painting by Romanian artist Dominic Virtosu.

A huge red and black cactus that is painted with thick, dense oil paste - almost as a symbol of the constant thinking and ruminations within our soul's deepest chambers.

The painting is imposing - not only through its sheer scale but also through the construction of the cactus. The artist chose a poignant and heavy plant that inspires solidity, stability but also immovable stubbornness.

A perfect piece to fit in a contemporary residence or office space, "Tormented Soul" is certainly a conversation starter.

The work is sold framed and comes with a certificate of Authenticity dated and signed by the artist.
