Succulent Giant

On a magnificently vivid green background, the "Succulent Giant" affirms its presence. Splendidly thick, spontaneously thrown dabs of color join together in a ballet of expressive, gestural manifestation.

The special technique that Virtosu used to create this artwork means that there is a distinct difference between the flat background and the super-thick foreground object. The cactus seems to effectively emerge into existence and is basically cut-out on the canvas surface. This creates a seemingly poster-like effect that pops-out and catches the eye.

An up-close look at the surface of the Succulent shows the myriad of colors that bind together into this massive plant, a true spectacle for the eye, a feast for the senses.
