Fishing for Happiness

A spectacular orange sunset unfolds on the horizon above the sea. The small fishing vessel is advancing through the waves, casting a shadow on the ocean floor. Its anchor, replaced by a luscious chandelier, brings light into the depths of the merky blue water.

This work is part of an ongoing series of explorations.

The water is painted deep blue and we can clearly see rays of light piercing through it. Yet the presence of the chandelier is a mysterious and thoughtful addition to this composition.
